Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before joining a DaNangOnMotorBike tour. Can’t find your answer here? Contact us directly.
Is it safe to ride on the back of a motorbike in Da Nang traffic?
Yes. Every DaNangOnMotorBike guide is a licensed, experienced local rider trained to navigate the city’s traffic safely. You are never asked to drive yourself — you simply ride on the back and enjoy the scenery while your guide handles the road.
Will I get to drive the motorbike myself?
No. Vietnamese law requires a local license to drive in Da Nang, and traffic patterns can be difficult for first-time visitors. Our licensed guides drive for you on every tour, so you can focus on the sights instead of the road.
Are helmets provided?
Yes, a helmet is provided for every guest on every tour, free of charge. We recommend wearing it for the full duration of the ride, even on short stretches.
What if I’m vegetarian or have food allergies?
Please let us know about any dietary restrictions when you book. Our street food tours can be adjusted to accommodate vegetarians and most common allergies — just tell us in advance so we can plan the stops accordingly.
Is the street food on the tour safe to eat?
Every stall and restaurant on our routes is checked by our team for hygiene and food safety. Street food in Da Nang also tends to be freshly prepared with high turnover, which in many cases makes it safer than food that has been sitting for a while.
What should I bring on the tour?
For daytime tours, bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and light clothing, as the sun in Da Nang can be strong. For night tours, you need very little. A camera is welcome, but for safety we ask that you only take photos when the motorbike is stopped.
How many people can join a tour?
Most of our motorbike tours work well for solo travelers, couples, and small groups of friends. Larger groups can usually be arranged with advance notice — see the Tours page for group options on each route.
Can I book a private tour with a custom route?
Yes. Many of our motorbike tours can be arranged privately with a flexible start time and, in some cases, a custom route. Contact us with your travel dates and we’ll help you plan it.
